THIS IS MURCIA

A strong tornado hail and torrential rain swept in Monday afternoon much of the Region of Murcia. 

The Aemet maintains orange alert in the Vega del Segura until 1.00 am and activated Inunmur preemergence phase plan. 

In the village of Murcia Espinardo, size of hail surprised the neighbors. The Campo de San Juan and Benizar , Moratalla and Cehegín, Molina de Segura and lately, Yecla and Jumilla also suffered a heavy rainfall. 

The rainfall in Murcia caused the sank of two industrial buildings roofs without causing injury, according to sources from the Emergency Coordination Center. 

At the scene, Churra and Espinardo, firefighters attended the Consortium for Fire Fighting and Rescue. Furthermore, the weather caused several destructions in several areas, such as the National 301, direction Molina de Segura, near the Cemetery of Espinardo. 

Until 21:00, the single emergency telephone number, '1-1-2', received 184 calls related to problems caused by rain, the vast majority of cases occurred in Murcia capital and his districts (Churra, Espinardo, Cabeza Torres , Monteagudo, La Alberca, Guadalupe, Nonduermas, The Esparragal, Alquerias, Los Ramos, the strut). 

The services to be performed : the bilge water in garages, falling trees, the rescue of a driver who was trapped in his car and several floods. 

In the Avenida Juan de Borbón, up to roundabout Cubes, Murcia Local Police had to cut traffic.
